ACCESS TO THE TENNIS COURTS IS THROUGH THE SIDE GATE BY COURT 1
Here are the protocols we will be following
All coaches will wear a face covering. THIS IS MANDATORY
Students. Face coverings are recommended
Coach will maintain a “contact tracing log” of what court and who was in the lesson. No Exceptions.
A group lesson cannot be larger than 4 participants and all names must be on the log.
Students will not walk across any court to reach the court they will be on
Court 1 entrance thru the big main gate; Court 2 & 3 from the alleyway behind each court
Group coaching should take place only where full social distancing is possible. Group coaching should be limited to small groups of 4. An exception would be where all participants are family members or are otherwise in one home.
Position the players at well-spaced stations
Live ball drills and game-based play is recommended over using baskets
Limit the use of coaching equipment such as target cones
Do not let the players handle any coaching equipment. The coach will pick up the balls
Students are encouraged to roll or kick the balls to a corner to make picking up balls easier. They are not allowed to touch the balls with their hands.
SCHEDULING Call or Text Bill 209-604-2455
Hours of operation M-F 7:00-6:00, Saturday 8:00-5:00, Closed Sundays
Lessons will be scheduled with a 10-minute break in between sessions
Instructor will use this time to wipe surfaces, teaching carts, mowers, ball hoppers, and pickup tubes
Students can arrive no more than 10 minutes before their lesson and must leave at the end of their lesson. No lingering
Parents will drop off their students then return to pick them up or wait in their car in the parking lot. Seating will not be available to watch from court side
Practice caution with the tennis balls and avoid letting the participants touch them. Although there is no specific evidence that tennis balls can spread COVID-19, we know that contamination by respiratory droplets from an infected person can potentially survive on hard surfaces up to three days
Try to restrict balls to a group, court or day of the week.
Ball will be identified as to what court/basket they will be used in. If an errant ball lands on a different court the coach will be responsible to return it to the correct court
Replace all balls if someone suspected to have COVID-19 encounters them
Consider spraying tennis balls briefly with a disinfectant spray (e.g., Lysol or Clorox) at the conclusion of play. Using new balls on a very regular basis is highly encouraged
For private lessons that feature serving, have customers bring two cans of balls that only they handle for serving
Tennis equipment should be touched only by the pro/coach and should be cleaned frequently. Use alcohol-based disinfectant to clean all tennis gear, including racquets, towels, target cones, ball machines, etc.
Teaching pros should have their own marked hoppers and teaching charts to avoid sharing with other pros
Avoid using unnecessary equipment such as throw-down lines
